Community Learning Center
Our community was fortunate to be one of six Ohio school districts to receive a Straight-A grant in 2014. The grant intends to impact early literacy skills for students. Students use Chromebooks provided to them by the schools. Learn more about Piqua's REACH program here.
The Fusion Community Learning Center endeavors to remove barriers and fill gaps in the REACH program, which then provides other opportunity to fill needs in the neighborhood beyond REACH. We:
- Provide access to the internet through wireless connectivity in a safe, supervised environment
- in many of our homes, the families internet access is only through a parent's smartphone, or is not available at all
- Assist parents and grandparents seeking ways to improve their children's literacy by improving their own
We still have much to accomplish to make the study center the best it can be. If you want to help financially, click the button below. We are not yet opening volunteer opportunities beyond our development team, but we will need donations of time soon!
